Why Does Duratia 60 Mg Sometimes Cause Dizziness?

Duratia 60 mg can sometimes cause dizziness because of the way it affects serotonin levels in the brain and its influence on blood pressure regulation. Duratia 60 mg contains dapoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used mainly to treat premature ejaculation in adult men.

One of the main reasons for dizziness is a temporary drop in blood pressure, especially when standing up quickly. Dapoxetine can affect the autonomic nervous system, which controls blood vessel tone, leading to a condition called orthostatic hypotension. This can make a person feel lightheaded or unsteady.

Another reason is its effect on serotonin activity in the central nervous system. Changes in serotonin levels can influence balance, alertness, and perception, which may contribute to feelings of dizziness or mild disorientation in some users.

Dizziness is also more likely when Duratia 60 mg is taken with alcohol, as alcohol can intensify its side effects and further lower blood pressure. Taking it on an empty stomach or in combination with fatigue, dehydration, or anxiety may also increase the risk.

Most cases of dizziness are mild and temporary, improving as the body adjusts to the medicine. However, if dizziness is severe, persistent, or accompanied by fainting, chest pain, or blurred vision, medical attention should be sought immediately.

To reduce risk, patients are usually advised to avoid alcohol, stay hydrated, and rise slowly from sitting or lying positions after taking the medication.
