INTRODUCTION
The active ingredient in GABAPIN 300MG CAPSULE is gabapentin, which belongs to the category of medications called anticonvulsants. It's helpful for peripheral neuropathic pain and can be used alone or in combination with other drugs to treat various forms of epilepsy.
Convulsions, episodes of unusual behavior or feelings, and even unconsciousness can come from the disorganized firing of nerve cells in the brain, a condition known as epilepsy. Long-lasting tingling, numbness, or pain in the hands and feet is called peripheral neuropathic pain, and it's caused by damage to the nerves in those areas.
Suddenly discontinuing GABAPIN 300MG CAPSULE may increase your risk of seizures. You may need to take some tests before starting treatment at the doctor's recommendation.
There is no safe dosage of GABAPIN 300MG CAPSULE, hence it should not be taken by pregnant or nursing mothers. Patients aged 65 and up should exercise caution when taking GABAPIN 300mg capsules, and children younger than 6 years old are not recommended to take this medication.
